All services are offered to help achieve balanced body functioning and healthier emotional expression, particularly during times of transition and stress.

Acupuncture

Tiny needles are inserted into the skin at specific points along a pathway called a meridian to access the energy of the body called Qi ("chee"). These points are like gateways which influence the internal energy flow thus allowing your body to balance and heal itself. The meridians connect to organ systems such as Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small Intestine, Kidney, Urinary Bladder, Liver, Gallbladder.

Acupressure

Palpation or light finger and hand pressure is used on the meridian points to encourage movement of Qi throughout the body. Points may be held or massaged for several minutes.

Reiki

Reiki is an ancient laying-on-of-hands touch healing system which accesses the life force and activates the energy of the universe. The practitioner is a channel for universal healing energy and utilizes the chakra energy system to balance the energy of the body.

Electrical Stimulation

Use of tiny electrodes attached to needles that transmit a gentle current of electricity to acupuncture points for the purpose of pain relief, or to enliven an area of numbness.

Cupping

Glass cups which adhere to the surface of the skin through suction, pulling congestion and toxins from a painful or tight muscular area.

Moxibustion

Heating an herb called Mugwort or Artemisia Vulgaris over an acupuncture point causes movement of Qi and infuses warmth into an area.

Herbology

In Chinese Medicine herbal formulas contain combinations of herbs known to have specific medicinal qualities. Out of over eight thousand herbs only about five hundred are commonly used. Herbal formulas contain combinations of roots, seeds, grains, flowers, berries, fruit peel, bark, leaves, stems, shells, nuts, minerals, resin, seaweed, and occasionally fossilized bones. These substances are meant to interact synergistically to treat the energetic presentation of the patient. Formulas are provided in tablet form, or in the form of powders or granules.
